One of the earlier jobs that I worked on at The Mill. This was before Houdini had been fully adopted into The Mill's workflows and pipelines, so we were using XSI to do this sort of destruction. Incompressible simulations for smoke were hard to do, so a lot of it had to be faked.

It's almost impossible to see all the layers of FX that I made for this in the final plate, but there were lots of exploding particle and dust elements to add some extra punch to the animation.
